50 Acts of Caring - giving back nets great results

This spring, FedEx Cares team members gave back to our communities through 50 Acts of Caring and helped contribute to our FedEx Cares 50 by 50 goal.  

Team members were encouraged to volunteer or hold a purple totes collection – with a goal of 50 activities in total – during the month of April.

The numbers are in! Thank you to the FedEx team members who participated in more than 200 acts during the month of April:

• 434 team members volunteered 2,161 hours
• 35 purple totes collections were organized
• 1,743 people were impacted by your generosity

Giving back is a year-round endeavor. As we kickoff the final year of FedEx Cares 50 by 50 and lead up to our 50th anniversary, we encourage you join us in helping make the world a better place. Here’s how:  

Volunteer at a local nonprofit.  

You and your team can organize a volunteer event or search for volunteer activities in the volunteer system on fedexcares.com.  You can also volunteer in your free time. Just be sure to record your hours in the volunteer system.    

Hold a purple totes collection.    

It’s easy! Reach out to a local nonprofit to identify items they need, hold the collection, and then deliver the items. Use this form to request purple totes and let us know the number of people impacted after your collection.
