Proud to show our pride

FedEx is committed to working with organizations that celebrate culture and provide advancement for individuals of all backgrounds. Through programming and education of the LGBTQ community, FedEx is creating opportunities and delivering impacts for people. Our focus is simple—dignity and respect for everyone.

Through the work of six organizations focused on efforts in the LGBTQ community, FedEx provides versatile support to ensure the greatest impacts. Whether it’s working with the Matthew Shepard Foundation on their Hate Crime Prevention training sessions or The Trevor Project to expand their life-saving digital crisis services (TrevorChat and TrevorText), the ways these organizations help the community are endless. Through the work of these organizations, over 125,000 individuals will be impacted by the end of 2021.

Some organizations engage the community through other means such as education. Through FedEx’s support of the Point Foundation, an LGBTQ merit scholar is awarded a four-year named scholarship and paired with a mentor who provides guidance on academic and career decisions. Also, as part of our efforts to promote inclusion for diverse suppliers, FedEx is a sponsor of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.

FedEx prioritizes health and wellness initiatives by supporting LGBTQ organizations in these areas as well. AIDS LifeCycle is an organization who hosts a seven-day bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise money for and provide awareness of HIV/AIDS. FedEx supports the organization through distribution of education materials, volunteerism, in kind shipping, and fundraising for the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Community Services Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. FedEx also works with OUTMemphis, an organization focused on the large number of LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness and limited access to resources. Their Metamorphosis Project provides housing and comprehensive support for LGBTQ+ youth in the Mid-South and beyond.

FedEx supports these organizations as a part of the company’s FedEx Cares “Delivering for Good” and “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” initiatives.
