A FedEx Freight holiday tradition: delivering joy with Trees for Troops

We are continuing the holiday tradition of delivering joy to military families across the country. Since 2005, FedEx Freight has worked alongside the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation to deliver more than 260,000 Christmas trees to military families across all branches of the military through the Trees for Troops® program, and one of our FedEx Cares initiatives.

This year, during one of the busiest seasons to date, FedEx Freight will deliver around 14,500 Christmas trees to 77 military bases. Trees for Troops kicked off Nov. 29, as FedEx Freight drivers began picking up fresh-cut trees from 55 locations and delivering them throughout the U.S. The effort brings together hundreds of tree farms spanning 24 states – from Maine to Oregon – to help execute the program.

Military families may select a tree with a handwritten holiday message from team members, FedEx customers, community members, students, and many more through the Tag-a-Tree campaign.

At FedEx Freight, bringing joy to military families is high on our holiday list. See how we're delivering fresh-cut trees to military bases across the U.S.
