Update on FedEx response to Hurricane Helene
We are thankful that all of our team members are safe. Anyone who needs a safe place to stay or a warm meal can find shelter information on redcross.org, the free Red Cross Emergency App, or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767). In addition, they are doing everything they can to accommodate in their shelters service animals and domestic pets.
The many nonprofit relief agencies that FedEx supports are providing shelter, food, water, medication, mental health services and other immediate necessities. Among other efforts, we are currently shipping generators for Water Mission, and medicine for Direct Relief. We’re shipping hygiene kits for Heart to Heart International, and they have dispatched the Mobile Medical Unit we donated to them. The Salvation Army is using canteen trucks we provided that are capable of feeding thousands each day.
We will continue to monitor the relief efforts and provide assistance as able. FedEx does not provide charitable shipping for collection drives and donated items. If you would like to contribute to the relief efforts, you may volunteer or donate cash directly to an organization of your choice (keyword: Pledge).
