FedEx Cares is our global community engagement program and one way that we live out our purpose of connecting people and possibilities. Our goal is to help make the world a better place through in-kind shipping, volunteering our time and expertise, and charitable giving.

FedEx Response to California Wildfires

Our thoughts are with all those impacted by the fires in California, and we are already providing support for many relief agencies at work in the area. Through our FedEx Cares initiative, we provide cash grants and in-kind shipping to relief organizations year round allowing them to react immediately when disasters occur. These efforts ensure that communities impacted by disasters receive essential shelter, food, water, medication, mental health services, and other immediate needs. 

Our support extends to trusted relief agencies such as the American Red Cross, Heart to Heart International, Direct Relief, Team Rubicon, The Salvation Army, World Central Kitchen, and International Medical Corps. Several of these organizations are in California now serving those impacted by the wildfires.  We will continue to monitor the relief efforts and provide aid and assistance where possible. 

Team members and their families are our first priority at FedEx. Anyone who needs a safe place to stay or a warm meal can find shelter information on redcross.org, the free Red Cross Emergency App, or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767). Red Cross shelters are open to everyone in need. In addition, the Red Cross is doing everything they can to accommodate service animals and domestic pets comfortably in their shelters.
