2025 Purple Totes Contest First Place Divisions Winners


Let’s meet the winners of the 2025 Purple Totes Grant Contest

The third annual global Purple Totes Grant Contest was another successful campaign that showcased FedEx team members delivering good in their communities. More than 4,700 team members around the globe donated over 3,500 totes to local nonprofits. Now, it is time to meet the winners of the contest and learn about the nonprofits they supported. Each of these nonprofits will receive a $5,000 USD grant.

Small Division First Place Winner: The Purple Food Squad

The small division champs for this year goes to The Purple Food Squad in Portland, Oregon, U.S. The team of eight FedEx team members delivered 80 totes filled with food items to the Portland SE Outer Rim Foursquare Church. Portland SE Rim Foursquare Church is a local church serving the Portland community and engaging and encouraging others through a life-changing journey. Their mission is to nurture a diverse and welcoming community and to continue to help its members thrive in their lives. Learn more about the nonprofit here.

Medium Division First Place Winner: FedEx Hungary Team

The FedEx Hungary Team from Budapest, Hungary, took home first place in the medium division. Twenty FedEx team members donated 25 totes to the Together for the Recovery of Alex Ungar Foundation. The Together for the Recovery of Alex Ungar Foundation is dedicated to supporting Alex Ungar’s healing journey while raising awareness for individuals and families navigating similar challenges. Through community-driven fundraising and advocacy, the foundation provides support and care to children affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), including motor skill development, facilitating prevention of decline, actively seeking and raising awareness of scientific research and therapies.  Learn more about the nonprofit here.

Large Division First Place Winner: The Purple Tote Santas

The first-place winner of the large division is The Purple Tote Santas team in Memphis, Tennessee, U.S. This team of 90 team members collected 300 totes for the FedExFamilyHouse. The FedExFamilyHouse opened its doors in December 2010 to provide free, comfortable accommodation for out-of-town families of patients at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. Since opening, they have served more than 485,000 family members from all 50 states and around the world. Learn more about the nonprofit here.
 

Now it’s your turn – pick your favorite for the People’s Choice Awards

Now through Jan. 29, you can join other FedEx team members and select the teams you think should win one of our three People’s Choice Awards from the following categories: Most Creative, Most Impactful, and Most Engaging. The selected nonprofit of each winning team will receive a $5,000 USD grant. We’ll announce the winners on Feb. 18. 

Note: Award of the grant for nonprofits that do not have a U.S. affiliate or are not a registered Canadian charity are subject to final vetting and approval by CAF America.
