Support small businesses this holiday season

The holiday season will look a little different this year. With inflation, rising costs of living, and increasing supply chain costs influencing how people shop, holiday spending is expected to remain at an all-time low.1 Even so, this moment highlights something meaningful: when shoppers support small businesses, they help keep creativity, culture, and community thriving. That is why FedEx continues to champion small business owners and why the FedEx E-Commerce Learning Lab, a collaboration with Accion Opportunity Fund, remains such an important and impactful program.

This year, we are proud to spotlight two incredible small business owners bringing heart and originality to the marketplace:

B. Marie Accessories

Shannon Johnson, founder of B. Marie Accessories, curates bold pieces that help people express who they are. From fashion-forward rings and earrings to prescription-ready eyewear, her collections are designed to inspire confidence and creativity. Each piece reflects her belief that style should feel personal, joyful, and empowering.

Soul Good Confections

Kimberly Teixeira of Soul Good Confections is redefining what a caramel can be. Her vegan and gluten-free coconut-based treats are crafted from clean, organic ingredients, giving people with dietary restrictions the chance to enjoy something sweet without compromise. Soul Good Confections celebrates the idea that everyone deserves an inclusive, high-quality treat they can feel good about.

Small businesses add richness and uniqueness to every holiday season. By supporting businesses like B. Marie Accessories and Soul Good Confections, shoppers help fuel dreams, strengthen communities, and uplift the small business owners shaping the future.2
