In addition to providing a sponsorship for the event, FedEx Canada showcased their new BrightDrop Zevo 600 all-purpose electric vehicles at four rest stops and at the “kids’ zone” where couriers handed out toy model Zevos to the kids. The BrightDrop Zevo 600 vehicles efficiently move goods and services with zero tailpipe emissions, further advancing FedEx sustainability goals.

All levels of cyclists, with all types of bikes, including the FedEx e-bikes, took part in the Baycrest Bike Ride, choosing from one of three routes.  According to Joel Vergara, FedEx Operations Team Lead, “As a proud FedEx Cares teammate, I would say that the Baycrest ride is an important event for us as avid cyclists. This time, we biked for a good reason: to help fight dementia together with thousands of riders and supporters. Every year, FedEx provides significant financial support to help the Baycrest Research Foundation’s mission to enrich the quality of life of older adults. I am proud to be a part of a team that cares for our society.”

FedEx has been a proud sponsor of the Mattamy Homes Bike for Brain Health since its inception in 2022. In Canada, more than 1.1 million people are affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Each year, one hundred percent of the proceeds go directly to the Baycrest Foundation.
