FedEx and Operation Warm deliver coats to kids in Dallas

FedEx teamed up with Operation Warm, a national nonprofit dedicated to providing brand-new winter coats to children in need, to provide a gift of warmth to students in Dallas. FedEx delivered brand-new coats to 300 children at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Arts Academy on December 1, ahead of the chilly winter season. Additionally, FedEx volunteers donated totes filled with school supplies and STEM educational guides developed by the Smithsonian and printed/delivered by FedEx Office. Roxo™, the FedEx SameDay Bot, was on site to help usher in the warmth and provide a demonstration to the 5th grade class.

In the months of November and December, FedEx will ship more than 7K coats to school districts in 24 North American communities to help ease the financial burden of purchasing winter coats for low-income families, empowering students with greater self-confidence and increasing school attendance. FedEx has collaborated with Operation Warm since 2008. Together, we have provided more than 800K coats to kids in need across the U.S. and Canada. The collaboration is part of our company’s FedEx Cares 50 by 50 goal to positively impact 50M people around the world by the company’s 50th anniversary in 2023.
