FedEx helps the People to People Food Bank in Nanuet, NY
FedEx team members from the Metro North and Palisades Districts made a tremendous contribution on FedEx Cares Day to the People to People Food Bank in Nanuet, NY. The team donated 25 purple tote bags that totaled 170 pounds of food, valued at $476. They then spent the day sorting and organizing the pantry, clothing donations, and even the mailroom.
People to People is Rockland County’s largest food pantry, working to help struggling Rocklanders through difficult times with its programs including: Food Pantry, It's In The Bag, Clothes Closet, Back To School With Dignity, Talk Turkey Project and Project Joy! & Joy! Store. Last year, People to People provided assistance to nearly 14,000 Rockland households. Life’s circumstances can change quickly – the loss of a job, the sudden death of a spouse, a tragic accident – can cause a drastic change in one’s ability to put food on the table and make ends meet. The organization is proud of its fiscal stewardship. More than 95% of all donations go directly to providing programs and services.
