More than We Bargained For

Members of the Memphis-based employment litigation and employment law teams delivered breakfast for the staff and Purple Bags full of candy for the Neighborhood Christian Center's Trunk or Treat Halloween event and volunteered for the Center's mobile food pantry to distribute needed groceries to hundreds of senior citizens and families. We were in for a little more than we bargained for when the hydraulic lift did not work on the Memphis Food Bank delivery truck, and we had to unload tons of milk, frozen meat, frozen entrees, crackers, snacks, canned goods, and produce by hand!

Planting Tree Seedlings at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden

Members of the FedEx Ground Process Engineering group helped plant trees at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden restoration site. Working along staff members and other volunteers to plant native tree seedlings that will create the forest of the future.

The Michigan/Wisconsin Sales Team has enjoyed the opportunity to participate in their local communities every year through the United Way Volunteer Program on October 11,2018. This year, the Michigan Team chose to give time to The Capuchin Soup Kitchen.

Canned goods for the West Hills Food Pantry

Worldwide ER district Keystone Empire, along with VP Steve Tanner, collected canned goods to donate to the West Hills Food Pantry in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

People to People Food Bank

FedEx team members from the Metro North and Palisades Districts made a tremendous contribution on our United Way FedEx Cares Day to the People To People Food Bank in Nanuet, NY. As one united team we were able to donate 45 purple totes bags that totaled 177 pounds of food and toiletries. The day was also spent helping to sort, stock and manage the items onto the pantry shelves as well as sorting and organizing the clothing donations.
