FedEx is giving $1million dollars to small businesses
Small businesses strengthen the economy, but many are hurting right now. We know they are putting their all into not just surviving but becoming more creative and resilient than ever. When the dust clears from the current crisis, it’s the fearless innovation and tireless hard work of small businesses that will light our way to a brighter future.
In light of the current pandemic, FedEx is launching a new grant initiative - FedEx #SupportSmall Grants. We’re committing $1 million worth of grants to small U.S. businesses that have been greatly impacted financially by the COVID-19 crisis in the U.S.
Businesses can begin applying for the grant May 25th.
Two-hundred businesses will be selected, and each will get a $5,000 grant and a $500 credit at FedEx Office that can be used for printing banners, posters, floor graphics, custom branded boxes, and more.
Having a FedEx account is not required, but in order to be eligible for the grant, you must:
- be older than 18
- be a U.S.-based for-profit small business in operation and selling for more than 1 year, with less than 50 employees;
- have less than $5 million in annual sales revenue in 2019; and
- have shipped in the last 12 months and/or plan to ship in the coming 12 months as part of your business.
- Non-profits, franchised businesses, direct-seller/reseller businesses, independent consultants and previous winners in the FedEx Small Business Grant Contest are not eligible to apply for this grant.
From May 25, 2020, through June 12, 2020, you can go to FedEx #SupportSmall to apply for a grant.
Small businesses employ about half of America's workforce. We are proud to stand together with them and help them get back to business.
