Delivering good news
For more than 70 years, Toys for Tots has made it their mission to spread joy among millions of American children who might otherwise have no gifts under their tree on Christmas Day. But in this unprecedented year, the program has seen increased requests from families in need while experiencing significant drops in donations and toy drives as businesses close and unemployment spikes.
With Christmas less than a week away, and the program still facing a significant shortage of gifts, FedEx proudly teamed up with CBS’s Some Good News (SGN), and a special guest to announce a FedEx donation of $5 million dollars to help meet this immediate need for struggling families. With this donation to Toys for Tots, FedEx will help deliver hope and holiday joy to 250,000 children in the U.S.
This support for Toys for Tots is a part of our wider FedEx Cares 50 by 50 initiative, a journey to deliver hope, change and new possibilities for 50 million people by our 50th anniversary in 2023.
