Derby District gives back.
The Derby District in Louisville,KY volunteered with Habitat for Humanity Metro Louisville on October 11th. Partnering with Google Fiber, the team helped frame a house for a single mother of three. The day consisted of two teams working together to put up walls and outlining the house's blueprint for the stairs to go in. What better way to team build then working hard in the rain? Why stop there? On October 27th, The team also filled 35 Purple tote bags with cleaning products, hygiene products, children's underwear, children's shoes, children's pants, Kleenex, baby wipes, Clorox wipes and peanut butter to send to Jefferson County Public Schools for a program called Blessings in a Backpack. All items will be used to help children in need.
