Living with the extreme stress of being homeless can be devastating for children. Often overlooked is their inability to celebrate a basic rite of passage most children enjoy each year: a birthday party. Beverly’s Birthdays was founded to give these children birthdays they would never have had and will never forget—a positive memory, a glimmer of hope, a break from their daily struggles so that, for one day, they feel honored and special.

Operations Solutions Donates to House of Hope

Dec 5, 2016

Our area really isn’t a place that you think would have many homeless people. Ten years ago I would have told you that Harrison, AR really didn’t have any homeless people, but recently the Operations Solutions Team from Harrison, AR has been aware of the issue here. We have seen some people we know were homeless and there is actually a trail to a cave that some homeless people have been staying in. We know they are in need of blankets, sleeping bags, and food and we felt that the homeless are a group of people with needs that are often unrecognized in our area and wanted to give back.

Pairs of Joy

Dec 5, 2016

Our team decided to help the Volunteers of America this year for the FedEx Cares United Way Campaign. Volunteers of America is an nationwide charity organization that helps our local community by providing a homeless shelter, meals, and clothing to the Reno/Sparks area. To assist the charity, we combined both of our Reno buildings, 895 & 896, to collect 877 pairs of socks from package handlers, drivers, management and office staff. All of these were placed inside our Purple Tote Bags and were delivered to Volunteers of America.
