Rebuilding the Burg

The HBG SC had a rewarding day on Saturday by helping out our local community. We were assigned multiple lots to clear debris from the tornado that hit Hattiesburg, MS on 1/21/2017. We were able to clear tress and structures that were in the affected areas. We had over 18 team members and there families all come out and lend a hand.

D51 - FedEx Office does Arts & Scraps

District 51-FedEx Office volunteered with an organization called Arts & Scraps located in Detroit, MI. We spent the day filling hundreds of bags with donated scrape items and then boxes were filled with each item needed to complete one full craft kit to be taken to local schools. Arts & Scraps is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Detroit and founded in 1989.

Investing in Our Community: Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh

For children, the uncertainty and fear that accompanies a trip to the hospital can be overwhelming.

Removed from their familiar home settings and taken to a big building full of strangers and scary equipment often raises anxiety.

Over the past several years, FedEx Ground has made a significant investment in “distraction therapy” tools to help the kids at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (CHP) of UPMC take their minds off their ailments for a while.
