90,500 hours

volunteered by FedEx Team Members during the fall FedEx Cares campaign

Relay for life to conquer Cancer

Jun 3, 2017

For the last two years a group of up to 50 employees walk to conquer cancer. It is a Canadian FedEx Supply Chain initiative. 12 hours walk from dark to dawn to stand up to cancer, reach financial goals and to help create a strong community. This activities was located in the Coteau-du-Lac area in the Quebec province of Canada. Each year we wear our FedEx Cares t-shirts and walk collectively. This is a very emotional journey but we know we are making a difference. We hope to share this event with other FedEx groups in the next event in 2018.

Volunteering with Joseph's Storehouse

Apr 27, 2017

On Thursday, April 27th, the FedEx Ground East Nashville/382 Station volunteered at Joseph’s Storehouse in Lebanon, TN. Joseph’s Storehouse is an organization just 15 minutes away from the station where they distribute food to the elderly, disabled, low income, and single parents. The East Nashville group spent the day sorting out food into boxes and wheelbarrows, then loading the recipients’ cars. It was a wonderful day being able to meet the individuals in need, hearing their stories, and being able to assist them in getting the necessary items that they need.
