STL Area Food Bank

Sep 22, 2017

This food bank relies on donors and volunteers to carry out the day to day operations. We sort food, we identify damaged or expired food items, we load boxes for individual families and assemble skids of these boxes for delivery. Sometimes we sort and count fresh fruits, like apples and bag them up for distribution. This Food Bank partners with more than 500 agencies in our area. For every dollar donated they are able to feed a family of four. Only $21 can feed a family of four for a week!
