FedEx Cares- Hope House Memphis (2017)

Oct 31, 2017

When deciding how to make an impactful contribution to the United Way campaign, some members of the Memphis Revenue Services Ops Collections team wanted to identify an affiliated agency organization that provided services for children.

The Memphis Hope House fulfilled this objective because it is an organization providing services and education to HIV- affected individuals and their families. After reaching out to the coordinator of this program, we were given a list of their greatest needs.

As a team, we filled 33 FedEx Cares purple tote bags that included some of the greatest needs such as canned goods, paper products (tissue, paper towels), diapers, baby wipes, pull-ups, underclothes and toiletries (toothpaste and toothbrushes). In addition to giving these items, we desired to give the children individual gifts and also provided coloring books, crayons, and teddy bears for the 33 children currently enrolled in the program.

The efforts and teamwork for this event have been extremely fulfilling and uplifting!
