National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and FedEx Team Up to Protect the Environment

MEMPHIS, Tenn., April 18, 2016 — FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) is teaming up with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) to protect and restore plants, fish, wildlife and habitats in communities across the nation for the seventh consecutive year.  More than 500 FedEx team members across 16 cities will participate with local nonprofits this spring to address pressing urban environmental challenges.

“Our collaboration with NFWF is a shining example of FedEx Cares in action,” said Jenny Robertson, director of Citizenship and Reputation Management at FedEx.  “A significant portion of our operations, people and facilities are based in metropolitan centers, and our team members have always valued helping to create positive change and making their hometowns cleaner, healthier and more sustainable.”

How a Rookie Team from Quebec Took FIRST Robotics by Storm

The lovely little town of Trois Riveres, Quebec lies on the northwest banks of the famed St. Lawrence River, about halfway between Montreal and Quebec City in Canada. Although it was founded over 400 years ago, this city certainly doesn’t live in the past.

Trois Riveres is the home of Ultime’, FIRST Robotics Team 5528.

At 3:30pm on a cool overcast day at the Keranna School, classes have ended for the day. While the majority of the students rush out the doors to head home, about 20 students are excitedly chattering down the Keranna School’s science hallway. The hallway has been painted to represent global scientific achievements, and one of the doors on the right is labeled “Robotique FIRST”.

As darkness quickly creeps into the overcast sky, the Robotique FIRST room on the second floor of the school is shining like a beacon.

FedEx Releases 2016 Global Citizenship Report

MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 29, 2016 — FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) announced today the online release of its 2016 Global Citizenship Report (GCR), which details the company’s commitment to connect the world in responsible and resourceful ways. The report includes annual updates on the company’s environmental, community and economic development initiatives.

Among the highlights of this report, FedEx Express announced that it has surpassed its goal to boost vehicle fuel efficiency by 30%–some five years early. The company achieved the goal through its “Reduce, Replace, Revolutionize” strategy:

Our eighth annual FedEx Global Citizenship Report has just been released. It’s titled Deliver It Forward since it focuses on the need for delivering positive impact around the world.

If you want to deliver it forward, you have to connect. Connecting to reach people. Connecting to transmit wellbeing, or “good” – often through trade, or “goods.” Connecting the world responsibly and resourcefully. That’s what FedEx and its more than 340,000 team members strive to do each and every business day. FedEx Delivers Rescued Otter Pup to Denver’s Downtown Aquarium

The Downtown Aquarium  in Denver recently welcomed Oliver, a new otter pup, to its Otter Exhibit.  He will join fuzzy friends, Emmett and Slater, who are long-time residents of the exhibit.
