Our eighth annual FedEx Global Citizenship Report has just been released. It’s titled Deliver It Forward since it focuses on the need for delivering positive impact around the world.

If you want to deliver it forward, you have to connect. Connecting to reach people. Connecting to transmit wellbeing, or “good” – often through trade, or “goods.” Connecting the world responsibly and resourcefully. That’s what FedEx and its more than 340,000 team members strive to do each and every business day. Because we believe doing so helps enable communities to create jobs, to spur innovation, and to grow their standards of living.

FedEx Releases 2016 Global Citizenship Report

MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 29, 2016 — FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) announced today the online release of its 2016 Global Citizenship Report (GCR), which details the company’s commitment to connect the world in responsible and resourceful ways. The report includes annual updates on the company’s environmental, community and economic development initiatives.

Among the highlights of this report, FedEx Express announced that it has surpassed its goal to boost vehicle fuel efficiency by 30%–some five years early. The company achieved the goal through its “Reduce, Replace, Revolutionize” strategy:

The Downtown Aquarium  in Denver recently welcomed Oliver, a new otter pup, to its Otter Exhibit.  He will join fuzzy friends, Emmett and Slater, who are long-time residents of the exhibit.

After two bee stings in the same week, Mikaila Ulmer’s parents encouraged the then four-year-old to research honeybees and why they are critical to our ecosystem. Not only did the study help remove her stinging fear, it also created a buzz within Mikaila—she could help the diminishing bee population by creating a business!

In her 25 years at FedEx, Janie has embodied what it means to proudly wear the purple shirt both on and off the clock.  From planning events to executing projects, she’s led hundreds of FedEx volunteers over the years and inspired them to give back to their communities.
