FedEx Volunteers Refurbish School Walls in the Underprivileged Community

TAIPEI, November 14, 2016 — FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, joined hands with the Fubon Charity Foundation and the Owl Parenting Association to refurbish the outer walls of Chang’an Elementary School in New Taipei City.  Schools in suburban areas such as New Taipei City are often neglected as most public resources focus on urban and rural areas.

FedEx sponsored the school renovation costs, including cement, paint and tools, as part of the annual FedEx Cares Fall Campaign, a worldwide initiative where FedEx team members give back to their communities.  Together, 42 FedEx volunteers dedicated more than 210 hours to renovate and repaint the 150-meter long walls, creating a brighter and safer study environment for students.

FedEx Celebrates International Walk To School Month 2016

HO CHI MINH CITY, November 14, 2016 — FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, today celebrated International Walk to School Month by launching the FedEx – Safe Kids Walk This Way (WTW) program initiatives for fiscal years 2017 to 2020 (June 2016 to May 2020).

Held in collaboration with Safe Kids Vietnam-Asia Injury Prevention (AIP), WTW is a pedestrian safety advocacy program that aims to improve road user behaviors and create safer walking environments for children in Vietnam.  The four-year program is comprised of the following initiatives:

Military support receives national attention

Making the Holidays Special for Military Families, One Tree at a Time

For the 12th consecutive year, the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation is joining forces with FedEx for special deliveries to America’s service members and their families through the Trees for Troops program.

Thanks to the generosity of tree farmers across North America, more than 18,000 real Christmas trees will be donated and delivered to close to 65 military bases during the busy weeks leading up to Christmas.

Minter’s Farm, out of Fayetteville, Georgia, is one of over 100 farms participating in the program this year.

For Minter’s Manager Stephanie Adamek, it’s a very special time of year, “It’s great to give back to somebody who has done so much for us.  I mean, they’re our heroes.”

‘FedEx Delivers Heartbeats’ Brings Free Cardiac Care to Children with Congenital Heart Disease in Rural Vietnam

HANOI, November 01, 2016 — FedEx Express, the world’s largest express transportation company and a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), in collaboration with VinaCapital Foundation, recently brought the ‘FedEx Delivers Heartbeats’ mobile outreach clinics to Hanoi Heart Hospital and Ben Tre province to provide free healthcare for children with congenital heart diseases.

Leading cardiologists and surgeons from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Da Nang joined the program to diagnose and provide treatment for the child patients.  FedEx team members also volunteered manpower assistance during the clinic visits, which included patient registration and post-operative help for the patients and their families.
