FedEx Joins With My Brother’s Keeper Alliance to Support Pathways to Success: Boys and Young Men of Color Opportunity Summit
FedEx was the principal sponsor of the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance (MBK Alliance) “Pathways to Success: Boys and Young Men of Color Opportunity Summit” that was recently held in Memphis. The event was launched in collaboration with City of Memphis, Memphis Office of Youth Services, the Greater Memphis Chamber, Workforce Investment Network, the Memphis Grizzlies and the Memphis Police Department. A total of 1,005 Memphis youth, including boys and young men of color, between the ages of 16 and 29 attended the summit, 285 received on-the-spot job offers, 206 youth received second interviews, totaling nearly 500 job opportunities for Memphis youth.
Beyond meeting with potential employers, the attendees had the opportunity to access community and social services, and participate in career and leadership development training. For those who needed help with their interview attire, they were fitted with blazers and matching neck ties.
