Hong Kong Students Unleash Entrepreneurial Ingenuity with Innovative Household Products for India

HONG KONG, July 24, 2017 — Three student teams demonstrated outstanding entrepreneurship with innovative household products for export to India at the FedEx Express/JA International Trade Challenge (FedEx/JA ITC) Hong Kong Finals 2017.  These young entrepreneurs will represent Hong Kong to compete with 54 counterparts from nine other markets[1] at the Asia Pacific Finals which will be held in Singapore on August 21-23.

HO CHI MINH CITY, July 13, 2017 – FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, and Junior Achievement today announced the winners of the FedEx Express/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge (JA ITC) in Vietnam.

Lam Gia Vu from the Christian Academy of Western New York and Ngo Le Hoang My from Nguyen Thuong Hien High School, Juliet Bao Ngoc Doling and Tran Anh Khoa of The Western Australian International School System, and Vu Hong Anh and Chu Ngoc Anh of Luong The Vinh High School were all selected as the winners of Vietnam International Trade Challenge. They will advance to the Asia-Pacific ITC finals in Singapore occurring from August 20 to 24, 2017.

FedEx and Junior Achievement Hold International Trade Challenge 2017 for Young Entrepreneurs

TOKYO, July 18, 2017 – FedEx Express (FedEx) and Junior Achievement, an organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in the global economy, hosted the qualifying round for the Japan teams of the FedEx Express/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge (FedEx/JA ITC) 2017 on July 17.

This year’s challenge was to create a market entry strategy for a household product targeting the Indian market. The contest challenged students to consider the culture and characteristics of the target market and come up with appropriate ideas for customizing, promoting and selling innovative products and services in India. A record 57 teams (two students per team) submitted applications, and seven teams were invited to present in front of a panel of judges at the local competition.

FedEx Supports Global Entrepreneurship With FedEx Access Award

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, has expanded its support of the Young Enterprise Company Programme  by introducing a FedEx Access Award at national Company of the Year competitions in the United Kingdom, France, and Italy.

Since 2007, FedEx has supported Young Enterprise —a global not-for-profit organisation dedicated to preparing young people to succeed in a global economy.  The Company Programme provides an opportunity for young adults aged 15-19 to set up and run a profitable business, supported by teachers and volunteers from local businesses.
